"Apple Delight" instructions

Apple Delight

Supplies Needed:
Polymer clay: Red, Green, Brown, Beige, White, Blue & Black
1 Round Toothpick
1/4" wide red satin ribbon

"Apple Delight" Step-by-step instructions

 

Instructions:
Step #1: Roll a 1 1/2" ball of Red for the BODY.  Use a toothpick or paintbrush handle to make the holes for the Arms and Legs where shown.

Step #2: Roll two 5/8" balls of Green for FEET. Roll two 1/2" balls of Green for HANDS. Roll two 3/8" balls of Green for HAIR.  Flatten each ball to 1/4" thickness and shape into tear drop or "leaf" shapes. Use the toothpick to indent lines. make 1/4" holes in the round ends of the Hands and Feet for the ribbon Arms and Legs.

Step #3: Roll a 1/4" ball of Brown for the STEM. Shape as shown. Use the toothpick to make a 1/4" hole in the top of the apple. Press the narrow end of the stem into the hole. Press the leaf Hair onto each side of the stem.

Step #4: Roll a 1/4" ball of Green for the WORM. Shape into a comma with one round end and one pointed end. Make a small hole in the front of the apple. Press pointed end of the worm into the hole.


"Apple Delight" Step-by-step instructions

Baking Instructions:
Bake in a regular or toaster oven.
DO NOT use a Microwave Oven!!!!

Step #5: Roll two 1/4" balls of White for the EYES. Press onto the front of the apple. Press on two tiny balls of Blue and Black onto the White Eyes.

Step #6: Bake the apple and leaves at 275 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool in oven.

Step #7: Cut two 2" lengths of red ribbon for ARMS. Tie one end through "leaf" Hands and glue the other end into the hole in the BODY. Cut two 2 1/2" lengths of ribbon for the LEGS. Tie one end onto FEET and glue the other end into the BODY. Draw a NOSE and MOUTH with a marker.
