Black Cat Pin with Dangle Legs
and Pumpkin

Supplies Needed:
Polymer clay: Black, Orange, Brown, Green & Tan
1 Round Toothpick
Gold Craft Wire
Acrylic Paint or Markers:
Black, White, Blue & Red
Two Black seed beads
Pin (jewelry finding)

INSTRUCTIONS:,

BODY: Roll a 5/8" ball of Black clay and flatten it into a 1/4" thick circle. HEAD: Roll a 5/8" ball of
Black and flatten it into a circle and shape as shown. Press Head onto Body. EARS: Shape two 1/4" triangles from Black and press on top of Head. Indent small triangles into each one with a toothpick.

MUZZLE: Shape a 1/2" heart from Black and press onto Head as shown. Use a toothpick to indent the mouth line and whisker holes. NOSE: Shape a tiny Tan triangle and press onto the Head above the Muzzle. EYES: Press in two black seed beads for the eyes. ARMS: Roll two 3/4" long comma shapes from Black and press onto the sides of the Body. TAIL: Roll a 1" long rope of Black and press onto the side of Body with the end curling out from Body as shown. PUMPKIN: Flatten a 3/4" ball of Orange and shape into a pumkin shape. Press Pumpkin onto the Cat’s body. Wrap the Arms around the sides of the pumpkin as shown. STEM: Roll a 1/8" teardrop shape for the stem from Brown and press onto the top of the Pumpkin. LEAF: Shape a 1/2" heart from Green and press onto the Pumpkin as shown. Use a toothpick to indent the vein lines. FEET: Shape two 1/2" teardrops from Black for the feet. LEGS: Cut two 1 1/2" lengths of gold wire for the legs. Bend 1/4" of each end over into small loops. Roll two narrow ropes from Black and wrap them around the wire legs in a spiral from top to bottom. Cut four 1/2" lengths of craft wire. Put these wires through each loop (top & bottom) of wire legs. Twist each of these ends together to make loops. Push one loop into the body and the other loop into the foot to make legs that dangle. Bake your cat according to the manufacturer’s instructions. When cool, paint the pumpkin’s face with acrylic paint or markers as shown. Glue pin to the back of cat.
