"Hampton the Cow" Supplies Needed:
Polymer Clay: White,Black, & Beige
1 Round Toothpick
1/4" White Satin Ribbon
2 Black seed Beads for Eyes |

Step #1: Roll a 1 1/2" ball
of White for the BODY. Use toothpick or paintbrush handle to make holes
in the BODY for the ARMS and LEGS. Step #2: Roll two 1/4" balls of White for EARS.
Flatten into a circle and fold in half. Press on top of HEAD. Press in
two seed beads for EYES. Roll two 1/4" balls of Beige for HORNS.
Shape into pointed triangles and press on top of HEAD in between the EARS.
Roll a narrow rope of Black for HAIR. Shape into three loops and press on
top of HEAD between HORNS. Press flattened pieces of
Black in odd shapes onto cow for his SPOTS. Roll a 1/4" ball
of White into a rope for the TAIL and press onto the back of BODY.
Step #3: Roll two 5/8" balls of Black for FEET.
Flatten into a 1/4" thick circle. Cut a "V" shape into the front of foot
for the HOOF. Make a 1/4" hole into the round end for the ribbon LEGS.
Make HANDS the same as the FEET, using 1/2" balls
of Black. |
Baking Instructions:
Bake in a regular or
toaster oven.
DO NOT use a Microwave Oven!!!! |
Step #4: Bake Cow, Hands and Feet at
275 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool in oven. |

Step #5: Cut two 2" lengths of
white Ribbon for ARMS. Tie one end onto the HANDS and
glue the other end into the BODY. Cut two 2 1/2" lengths of ribbon
for LEGS and attach them like you did for the ARMS. |
